Regenerative Thermal incinerator is also known as: regenerative thermal oxidation furnace, English name "Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer", referred to as "RTO". So far, the application of RTO in the purification of organic waste gas has more than 30 years of history, it can be said that the technology is mature and widely used.

The principle is to heat the organic waste gas to more than 760 degrees Celsius, so that the VOC in the waste gas is decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. The high temperature gas generated by oxidation flows through the special ceramic heat accumulator, which heats up the ceramic body and "accumulates heat", which is used to preheat the subsequent organic waste gas. Thus saving fuel consumption of exhaust gas heating. Ceramic regenerator should be divided into two (including two) more than the area or chamber, each regenerator in turn through the process of heat storage - heat release - cleaning, repeat, continuous work. After the "heat release" of the regenerator, part of the clean exhaust gas that has been treated and qualified should be introduced immediately to clean the regenerator (to ensure that the VOC removal rate is above 95%), and the "heat storage" procedure can only be entered after the cleaning is completed.

 Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) uses the ceramic regenerators to store the heat generated by the decomposition of VOCs, and uses thethermal energy stored in the ceramic regenerator to preheat and decompose the untreated VOCs, thereby achieving high thermal efficiency. The oxidation temperature is generally between 800 ℃ and 850℃, up to 1100℃. Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer is mainly used in applications  where the VOCs is in low concentration and large amount of exhaust flue gas. It is also very appropaite when the VOCs contains corrosive substances which are toxic to the catalyst and which require high temperature to oxidize some odor.




  Regenerative catalytic oxidation furnace (RCO) is based on the structure of RTO. A layer of noble metal catalyst is added to the oxidation furnace to reduce the activation energy of chemical reaction and change the reaction conditions to achieve the purpose of oxidizing and removing organic waste gas at lower temperature. The RCO device is similar to the RTO device. It adopts bed or rotary design. The ceramic regenerator in the regenerator is used to replace the heat released from the reaction. Firstly, it enters the regenerator through the flame arrester of the front-end dust collector, and heat exchange is carried out in the regenerator, about 200 ~ 400 ℃, and then oxidation is carried out under the action of catalyst through the oxidation chamber. If the reaction temperature cannot be reached, the heating system can realize compensation heating through the automatic control system. The high-temperature flue gas after oxidation enters another regenerator to exchange heat, and the bottom temperature purified flue gas is discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney. The main engine of catalytic oxidation equipment is composed of flame arrester, heat exchanger, preheater, catalytic reaction chamber, main exhaust fan, control system, electric heating components and catalyst. It is the core component of the equipment.
